Our verdict
We cannot recommend Batery to players in either of the markets it targets, and the reason has nothing to do with the quality of the product. On the surface it is a decent offshore operation: real Evolution and Pragmatic Play content, broad cricket markets, a tidy interface and a verifiable Curacao licence with a named operator behind it. The problem is that Batery tells Indian visitors, on its own licence page, that online betting is not prohibited in India and that it operates there legally. That is not true. Real-money gaming has been banned across India since 1 October 2025 under PROGA, its promotion and financial facilitation are criminal offences, and banks, UPI and card networks are legally barred from moving the money. Online gambling is prohibited in Pakistan too. An operator that misstates the law in its primary market is telling you something important about how it will treat you when a dispute arises - and with an offshore licence, a blocked payment rail and mirror domains that come and go, you would have almost no way to pursue it.

Licence OGL/2024/107/0914, held by YouGMedia B.V., issued March 07, 2026, expiry Indefinite. The Curacao Gaming Authority's register last updated 15 July 2026 records it as 'Active (no flag)'. Reading the register: Curacao issues many licences on six-month terms, and a lapsed term does not mean an operator is unlicensed - the register's STATUS column marks most of those 'Assessment in progress', meaning a renewal is being worked through. Some entries carry no end date at all and are recorded as indefinite. Judging by the dates alone, in either direction, gets it wrong. We are stating this precisely because we got it wrong earlier today: a parsing error made us attach another company's licence data to several brands, including telling readers that six operators held expired licences. None of the brands we checked is marked Expired. That claim has been removed and the scores restored.
Is Batery legal in India?
