PlayNow is what a state-run gambling site looks like. It is owned and operated by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, a provincial Crown corporation, and it is the only provincially regulated online gambling platform in BC. If the question is who holds your money, this is the strongest answer in our whole dataset: a government body rather than a licensee. We had the geography short. Alongside British Columbia, where BCLC has run it since 2010, and Manitoba, which signed in 2013, PlayNow has operated in SASKATCHEWAN since 2022 through a partnership with the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority and SaskGaming, offering more than 400 casino and sports products there. Each province issues its own accounts on a shared platform. Our earlier version listed only two provinces, which quietly told Saskatchewan readers their own provincial option did not exist.
