Context for United Kingdom: Since 19 January 2026 the Gambling Commission has capped wagering requirements at 10x the bonus (Social Responsibility Code 5.1.1), and promotions may no longer combine product types such as sports and casino in one offer. If a bonus on this page states 35x, 50x or higher, that figure predates the cap or does not reflect the operator's current UK terms - check the live terms on site, and treat any UK offer still advertising above 10x with caution.

Our verdict
William Hill Vegas is a large, properly licensed UK casino operated by WHG (International) Limited under Gambling Commission account 39225, with evoke PLC - the LSE-listed company formerly called 888 Holdings - as parent. Our previous 8.0 came from an affiliate page and omitted something a reader should not have to go looking for: in March 2023 the Gambling Commission announced the largest settlement in its history, GBP 19.2m, against William Hill group businesses, and GBP 12.5m of that was paid by WHG (International) Limited - the same company that runs this site, not a distant affiliate of it. The findings were concrete. One customer opened an account and spent GBP 23,000 in 20 minutes; another GBP 18,000 in 24 hours; another GBP 32,500 over two days - none of them checked. Ineffective controls allowed 331 customers to gamble despite having self-excluded. On anti-money-laundering, customers were allowed to lose GBP 70,134 in a month, GBP 38,000 in five weeks and GBP 36,000 in four days without being asked where the money came from. The Commission said it gave serious consideration to suspending the licence outright. Two things in the other direction, which belong here as much as the rest: evoke plc, which bought William Hill from Caesars in 2021, says the settlement relates to the period under previous ownership and management, and the operator remains fully licensed today. Judge it accordingly - a major regulated brand with real scale, carrying the heaviest enforcement record in the market.
How we rated it
Casino (36%)8
A large, well-established UK casino product from one of the best-known names in British betting, backed by an LSE-listed parent. Scale, game library and brand recognition are not in question here.
Customer support (18%)7.5
The support infrastructure of a major UK operator with a long-established brand and an LSE-listed parent. We found no independent measurement of response times.
Bonuses & value (18%)7
A genuine welcome offer from a major operator, but sourced only from an affiliate page rather than verified independently. Since 19 January 2026 the UK Gambling Commission caps wagering at 10x the bonus and prohibits promotions combining product types, so treat any figure quoted off-site - including ours - as needing a check against the live terms.
Trust & licensing (27%)5.5
The lowest score here, and the reason the rating moved. In March 2023 the Gambling Commission announced the largest settlement in its history, GBP 19.2m, against William Hill group businesses - and GBP 12.5m of that was paid by WHG (International) Limited, the very company that operates this site. The findings were not technicalities: customers opened accounts and spent GBP 23,000 in 20 minutes, GBP 18,000 in 24 hours and GBP 32,500 over two days without checks; 331 customers were able to gamble despite having self-excluded; and anti-money-laundering failures let customers lose GBP 70,134 in a month, GBP 38,000 in five weeks and GBP 36,000 in four days without source-of-funds evidence. The Commission said it gave serious consideration to suspending the licence. In fairness, evoke plc (then 888), which bought the business from Caesars in 2021, states the settlement concerns the period under previous ownership and management.

About William Hill Vegas
William Hill Vegas is the casino product of William Hill, one of the oldest and best-known names in British betting. The site is operated by WHG (International) Limited, a Gibraltar-registered company (number 99191) licensed in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account 39225, and a wholly owned subsidiary of evoke PLC, listed on the London Stock Exchange. The William Hill business was bought by 888 Holdings - since renamed evoke plc - from Caesars Entertainment in 2021 in a GBP 2.2bn deal. In March 2023 the group agreed the largest settlement in Gambling Commission history over social-responsibility and anti-money-laundering failures.
William Hill Vegas FAQ
Has William Hill been fined by the Gambling Commission?
Yes - the largest settlement in the Commission's history. In March 2023 William Hill group businesses agreed to pay GBP 19.2m. The breakdown matters for this site specifically: WHG (International) Limited, which operates williamhill.com and its Vegas casino, paid GBP 12.5m; Mr Green Limited paid GBP 3.7m; and William Hill Organization Limited, which runs 1,344 betting shops, paid GBP 3m. So this is not a distant group matter - it is the company behind this site.
What exactly did the Commission find?
On social responsibility: one customer opened a new account and spent GBP 23,000 in 20 minutes, another spent GBP 18,000 in 24 hours and a third GBP 32,500 over two days, all without checks, and ineffective controls allowed 331 customers to gamble despite having self-excluded. On anti-money-laundering: customers were allowed to deposit large sums without source-of-funds evidence, with one losing GBP 70,134 in a month, another GBP 38,000 in five weeks and another GBP 36,000 in four days. The Commission said it gave serious consideration to suspending the licence.
Is any of that mitigated?
Some of it, and it belongs in the picture. evoke plc - formerly 888 Holdings, which bought William Hill from Caesars in 2021 for GBP 2.2bn - states that the settlement relates to the period when the business was under previous ownership and management. The operator also remains fully licensed by the Commission today, which it would not be had the regulator concluded it could not be trusted to continue.
Who actually operates William Hill Vegas?
WHG (International) Limited, registered in Gibraltar at Suite 601/701 Europort with company number 99191, licensed in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account 39225. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of evoke PLC, listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Why did this review's rating drop from 8.0 to 7.0?
Because the 8.0 came from a single affiliate bonus page and reflected the brand's size rather than any research. The product genuinely is large and well-established, which is why the score did not fall further. But a rating that says nothing about the biggest enforcement action in the regulator's history - paid largely by the company running the site you are reading about - is not informing you, it is advertising.
