Privacy policy
Gamblerfy is a reading site. You do not need an account, we never ask for payment details, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone. This page explains exactly what is collected, why, and how to get it deleted.
Last updated: 5 August 2026.
Who is responsible for your data
The controller of the personal data described here is the operator of gamblerfy.com:
- Operator: Gamblerfy is an independent publisher. Our full company registration details (legal entity, registered address and tax number) are being finalised and will be published here. Until then you can reach us at [email protected].
- Contact for privacy matters: [email protected]
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer: our processing is limited to website analytics and a newsletter list, which does not meet the threshold in Article 37 GDPR. Privacy questions go to the address above and are answered by the editorial team.
What we collect, and why
| Data | When | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Analytics events (page viewed, referrer, approximate location from IP, device and browser type, a random Google Analytics identifier) | Only after you press Accept in the cookie banner | To see which pages and countries are actually read, so we know what to write next | Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive |
| Email address, the page you subscribed from, the date, the two-letter country code your connection resolves to, and your browser user-agent string | Only if you submit the newsletter form | To send you the newsletter and to detect abusive sign-ups | Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR |
| Edge and security logs kept by our host (IP address, request URL, user-agent, timestamp) | Every request, including if you refuse cookies | To serve the page, block bots and mitigate attacks. These logs are short-lived and we do not use them to profile you | Legitimate interest in a secure, working website — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR |
| Your cookie choice (accepted or refused) | When you answer the banner | So we do not ask again on every page. Stored in your own browser, never sent to us | Strictly necessary — no consent required |
That is the complete list. We do not run advertising networks, retargeting pixels, social widgets, session recording, heatmaps, fingerprinting or A/B testing tools, and we do not build profiles or take automated decisions about you.
Refusing cookies costs you nothing
If you press Refuse, Google Analytics is never loaded at all — the script is not even requested — and the site works exactly the same. You can change your mind at any time using the control, which is also in the footer of every page. Full detail of each cookie is in our cookie policy.
Who else processes your data
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, CDN, edge security and the key-value store where newsletter subscriptions are saved. Acts as our processor. Data may be handled on servers outside the EEA under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses included in Cloudflare's data processing addendum.
- Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) — website statistics, only if you accepted cookies. Acts as our processor. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage and transfers to the United States rely on Google's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework plus Standard Contractual Clauses.
Nobody else receives your data. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and gambling operators never receive your details from us — when you follow a link to an operator you leave our site and that operator's own privacy policy applies from that moment.
How long we keep it
- Analytics: retained by Google under our property’s retention setting, for no longer than 14 months at user level. Aggregated reports may remain indefinitely; they contain no personal data.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, plus up to 30 days for backups to expire. Unsubscribing deletes the record.
- Security and edge logs: kept by our host for a short rolling window (days, not months) and then deleted automatically.
- Cookie choice: 6 months in your browser, then you are asked again.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the GDPR (and the UK GDPR) gives you the right to:
- ask what data we hold about you and get a copy (access, Art. 15);
- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification, Art. 16);
- have your data deleted (erasure, Art. 17);
- restrict or object to processing (Arts. 18 and 21);
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
- withdraw consent at any time — for analytics, use the cookie settings control; for the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any email. Withdrawing does not affect processing already carried out.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected] from the address concerned, or tell us the email you subscribed with. We answer within one month. Because we hold no accounts, an analytics record cannot normally be linked back to you by name; if we genuinely cannot identify you from the information given, we will say so rather than guess (Art. 11 GDPR).
You can also complain to a supervisory authority. In Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD); in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); elsewhere in the EEA, the authority of the country you live in.
Children
Gamblerfy is for adults. Nothing here is aimed at anyone under 18 (or under the legal gambling age where you live), and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has subscribed to our newsletter, email us and we will delete the record.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes to cookies reset the banner, so you will be asked again.
