France regulates online gambling through the ANJ (Autorité Nationale des Jeux). A site is legal only if its operator holds an ANJ licence and runs on its authorised .fr website. Crucially, France licenses sports betting, horse racing and poker only — not online casino. This is the official register: 17 licensed operators. If a betting site targeting France isn't here, it isn't licensed.

Why there's no online casino
Unlike the UK or Portugal, France does not license online casino games (slots, roulette, blackjack) for remote play — only sports betting, horse-race betting and poker (jeux de cercle). Any site offering online casino to French players is doing so outside the ANJ framework, so it isn't on this list.
