Our verdict

Sporttrade has shut down its sportsbook entirely. Founded in 2018 by CEO Alexander Kane and launched as a genuinely state-licensed sports betting exchange in New Jersey in September 2022, it later expanded to Colorado, Iowa, Arizona, and Virginia. In February 2026, the company applied to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to register as a federal derivatives exchange and clearinghouse, seeking to move away from state betting licenses toward a federal prediction-markets framework. As a result, sports wagering ended in New Jersey on 25 May 2026, and in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, and Virginia by 25 June 2026. Customers had a defined window to withdraw their funds, and any remaining unwithdrawn balances were mailed via check to the address on file - an orderly wind-down rather than an abrupt loss of customer funds. Sporttrade is now pursuing Designated Contract Market and Derivatives Clearing Organization registration with the CFTC to relaunch as a regulated prediction-market platform, a process still pending. This brand no longer has any welcome offer or sportsbook product available; there is nothing to claim here.
