Gambling is not lawful in Myanmar

Under Myanmar's Gambling Law (Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Law No. 13/2019), which bars Myanmar citizens from gambling, in force since 2019, real-money gambling is prohibited here, so an offer aimed at Myanmar comes from an offshore operator working against local law. Myanmar's 2019 Gambling Law replaced a blanket 1986 ban, but it did not open gambling to Myanmar nationals. It permits licensed casinos only in approved locations and only for foreigners; the law is explicit that no Myanmar citizen may gamble at a casino, though nationals may work or invest in the industry. For online betting there is no licensing process at all, so operating it is illegal and carries severe penalties. Enforcement against individual players is reported to be lax, but lax enforcement is not a legal right: if an offshore site keeps your money there is no Myanmar regulator to complain to, because the activity was never licensed in the first place.
